New Veet Wax Strips Review
Hi Hi! :)
I saw the commercial for the new Veet Wax Strips that you don't have to microwave or anything! The commercial makes it look so easy and so of course I had to try them out! Good thing I'm warning all of you before you go make the same mistake...
Now, all you do is warm the strips in between your hands, apply it to the area desired, rub in the direction the hair grows, and then rip it off in the opposite direction that the hair grows. This took me 3X as long as it would to shave. It also left me with red bumps all over my leg that look similar to razor burn. Not a fun experience!
All in all the Veet strips:
Were painful
They took a long time
Only contained 6 cleanup cloths yet 40 wax strips?
Did not remove all of the hair
I would recommend saving your $10 and buying a good razor instead. Maybe these wax strips work for some people, but I did not like them at all!
What is your favorite hair removal method?
Love,
Lesley

The strips look like this, they are larger than I thought they would be.

My Lux Addiction Inspired Phone Case!
Hello!
I have really wanted a Lux Addiction phone case for a while now, but I just could not let myself spend $90 on a phone case that I could make myself. I found one to use as my inspiration, and then I went to my local craft store to find pieces I could use. I also ordered my rhinestones through Ebay, because they are way overpriced everywhere! Here was my inspiration piece...
I added a pearl to the center of the brooch and also some rhinestones to liven it up. I really like how it turned out!
I still have SO many rhinestones left, I need to find something else to bedazzle :)
I will post a tutorial when I do!

I really like the feather on it but I didn't like the silk flower. I found a cute brooch at the craft store and also found some peacock feathers. Here are the rhinestones I ordered through ebay...
I used E-6000 glue to stick it all on and about 3 hours later here is what I came up with...

April Favorites
Hi Ladies,
Since it is now May, I have decided to share my April beauty favorites with everyone! All of them are fairly inexpensive and most can be purchased at local drugstores.
Ardell individual lashes. Individual lashes look much more natural than strip lashes, but they take a lot more work to apply. It usually is easier to apply them to someone else than yourself, so grab a friend and put them on each other :)
I buy my Ardell Lashes from Sally's Beauty Supply but I have seen them sold at Rite Aid.
Plus White Teeth Whitener is my favorite whitening system. I already have trays that I had made at my dentist office but this gel is thick enough that you don't need to use a tray. You only have to leave it on for ten minutes, and I find it just as effective as Crest Whitestrips. It is MUCH cheaper though!
Secret Charm by Victoria's Secret is my current favorite body wash. It has an apple smell to it and I love it!
Softlips has been my favorite chapstick for a while now. It leaves my lips extremely smooth and I don't feel like I need to reapply it often like I do with other brands. However, the only flavor I like is the Vanilla. I have tried the mint and I don't like the smell of it as much as the Vanilla.
And my last but not least item has been my favorite for a long time now... I have tried so many different mascaras, expensive ones, department store ones, and I always end up back with my $5 favorite! Maybelline Great Lash Mascara is a best seller for a reason, it works better than any other I have tried.

I love Elf Cosmetics! These makeup removing cloths were only $1! I have very sensitive skin and I can even remove my eye makeup without the cloths stinging my eyes. Other makeup removing cloths I have tried are really soapy and you have to literally wash your face after using them. I keep a pack of these next to my bed for when I forget to wash my face before bed. They leave your skin feeling clean and toned.
I will be the first to admit that I am NOT good at painting my own nails. At my last trip to RiteAid I saw these Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens and I had to try them out. The white one I used to do a french manicure and they were suprisingly easy to use. I did find that the polish started to chip in a couple days, but it was easy to retouch since the pen is portable. The gold color I haven't tried yet, but I will post a look when I do :)
